3 Ways to check unemployment benefit claims in South Carolina
There are three ways that you can check your South Carolina Unemployment Benefits claim. The easiest way is to call the TelClaim number 1-866-831-1724. This number is for residents of South Carolina. When you call the number you must give your social security number and your Personal Identification Number (PIN). You should have picked a PIN when you began the Unemployment Benefits claim. After you enter your personal information, the phone system will tell you whether your check has been issued. If it has not been issued due to an error or problem, the system will tell you to report to your local Unemployment Benefits office for further information. The system will also tell you when your next eligibility interview is scheduled. You can call this number to check on your claim on Tuesday through Saturday only. This keeps the telephone line open for filing claims on Sunday and Monday.
